And the Cutest Boy Award Goes To...

We took Drew to Target to get his 3 year old pictures on Friday and he was so stinkin cute. Here's the proof!!

This was a completely different experience than last year when he would NOT smile! I think bribery had something to do with it!! A few days before we got pictures, I tried to prep Drew about what would happen. We even had him practice posing, which he is very good at! Then we told him if he was a good boy for the pictures, we would go to the play place at Carl's Jr. Ahh...I love bribery!
I can't believe my little boy is almost three. I LOVE seeing him grow and develop, but at the same time, it breaks my heart to see my baby slipping away. We are having a birthday party for him next Saturday, then let the hard-core potty training begin! He's been doing really well with it lately, thanks to the goody basket. (He gets to choose candy, cars, or underwear after he goes potty. He chose all of the cars first, then the candy, and can you guess what was last?)
Drew says some of the funniest one-liners. Here are some of them:

Drew came up to me one day after pooping and said, "Change my diaper, Roger copy?"

Dad: "If you keep them in your hands, they're going to melt." (Referring to chocolate chips.)
Drew: "My hands are gonna melt?"

Drew's evening plans: "We can make cookies, and take a bath, and watch American Idol, then go to bed."

Matt got home after a long, hard day at work. Drew came up and said, "Dad are you fwustwated (frustrated)?" Matt said, "A little bit." Drew smiled and said, "Dad, I can make you happy!!" (Isn't that the truth!! No matter how stinky of a day you're having, Drew always make you smile. We feel so lucky to be his mom and dad.)

After we had all of our Easter festivities (Easter bunny presents, coloring eggs, and Easter egg hunt), Drew looked at us and said, "I'm happy that God gave us the Easter Bunny!"

I think Drew is realizing we're a little different from other families with more than one child. He came up to me the other day and said, "I'm a big brother to Moseley." (Moseley is our dog!!)

Dear Dad

Dear Dad,
The other day, Drew and I were driving home from doing errands when we saw a UPS store and asked what it was. I told him it was kind of like a mail store and it was where you worked for most of your life. Then he asked me, "Where is Grandpa Bruce, mom?" I told him that you live in heaven now. Then he said, "I miss him, mom." I told him I missed you too. It's been over four years now that you've been gone. At first it just seemed like you were on a really long vacation, but now reality sinks in a little more now that I have a precious little one. I wish you were here to see Drew, dad. He is the most beautiful boy. He looks so much like his daddy but he has my brown eyes and definitely has the "Fulford lip" (especially when he is pouting). He is shy when he first meets people, but once he warms up he has the most fun-loving personality. He loves being silly and making people laugh. He comes up with the funniest one-liners. The other day he told me he peed in his diaper (we're working on potty-training). Then he said, "Change my diaper. Roger copy?" I just cracked up. He also has the softest heart. Last week he had a day when he was acting really naughty. I finally lost my temper with him and yelled. A little while later I told him I was sorry for yelling at him. He looked at me with a big smile and said, "It's ok, mom." He is so loving and forgiving. Matt is such a good daddy to him. You should see Drew's face light up when he comes home from work. It is so fun to see and hear Drew and Matt play together. Every night before Drew goes to sleep, we ask him what his favorite part of the day was. His answer is usually, "playing with daddy." I am so glad I married Matt. I am so glad that you got to meet him before you passed. You were right about him, dad. You saw how he treated me and you knew I would be in good hands. I wish you were here to see our family grow. I wish you could hold Drew in your lap and tell him to pull your finger. Hee Hee! I wish I could see you as a grandpa with him. I like to think and I believe in my heart that you knew him in heaven before he was born. I think you tried to teach him a few things and passed on a little of your spit-fire personality with him. I think you helped him get to earth safely. I felt of your love through him when he was born. I remember when you gave me a blessing before you died. You said that someday I would be a mother. And when Matt was giving the baby a name and a blessing, there would be an extra set of hands in the circle. We felt you there that day, dad. I miss you very much. I miss not being able to make more memories with you. I am so grateful that I was born to you and mom. I know that you both love me very much. I am grateful for eternal families and know that I will see you again. Until then...I love you. Love, Ka-Ka-Ka-Katie

Here's a picture of our little Drewby to make you laugh:

Where have we been?!!

Hello again!! Sorry I've been MIA for the past few months. Honestly, I have no excuse. I was just lazy! I found it more fun to look at everyone else's blogs than to update mine! I couldn't take the guilt anymore, so here I am, returning once again to the land of blogging.

Here we are at our ward Halloween party. I was a graduate (lame, I know. I had it in my closet.), Drew was Woody, and Matt was DJ Lance from the kids show "Yo Gabba Gabba." Not many people knew who Matt was. In fact, a few people came up to him and said, "I've got it! You're a candy corn, right?" HAAA HAAA HAAA!!! Halloween was so much fun this year. Drew was really excited, whereas last year he was still pretty freaked out. He LOVED going trick-or-treating. In fact, when we asked him what he wanted for Christmas this year, he said, "I want Halloween candy!"

Handsome cowboy

"sneaky cowboy"
Hee hee! I love this picture. It looks like he's plotting something! He definitely has something up his sleeve.
We had Thanksgiving with the Paiser family this year and had SO much fun. All of the kids and grandkids were there. Drew had so much fun playing with Asher and Violet. He loves being with his cousins. I've been such a slacker with taking pictures lately, so this is one of the only pictures I took over Thanksgiving. This was Drew and Asher helping grandpa make pancakes for breakfast. I love being with Matt's family. I am so lucky to have married into such a wonderful family. I hear horror stories of some other people's in-laws and feel so blessed to have such great family on both sides. Just don't put Mike in front of a BYU/Utah game!! Hee Hee! Just kidding Mike!

While we were down in Alpine over Thanksgiving, we were able to visit Amy and her cute kids. This is a picture of Molly kissing Drew. They are only a few months apart. They called each other, "my buddy." We also went to Kangaroo Zoo with them and had a blast. It's this huge place full of bounce houses and huge blow-up slides. Drew and Molly were like two peas in a pod. They did everything together there. Drew had so much fun there, that I found him trying to make something with paper a few days ago. I asked him what he was doing and he said, "I'm making a map, mom." I said, "Oh, what is the map for?" He looked at me and said, "It tells me how to get to Kangaroo Zoo." Ha Ha! I love it! He has such a fun imagination.

Sister Mary Katherine

Drew decided to dress up the dogs yesterday. Here he is with "Sister Mary Katherine" the dog! (We've been watching my mom's dog, Georgie Girl.) He was cracking up and going around calling for "Mary Katherine."

Now it's Moseley's turn to walk the runway. Drew is so proud of his work!! I love his imagination.

He would get so frustrated when the dogs tried to move while he was dressing them. How dare they!

The past few weeks...

Matt, Drew and I went on our first campout a few days ago and had a blast! We went to Girl's camp with the young women in our ward and Drew absolutely loved the girls!
Here is Matt, Chris, and Troy, some of the priesthood that came from our ward. The young women gave them a candy-gram with some flavored worms and crickets (they were real!) and they ate them!
Here is Drew with his favorite person, Kaitlyn. She is a beehive in our ward and has come to babysit Drew a few times. Drew adores her, as you can tell from his face in the picture! If he wasn't following her around, he was asking me, "Where's Kaitlyn?" or "Where my babysitter?" Drew was the cutest boy ever around the young women. They were all gushing over him and he just ate up the attention. It was nice to be reminded again how cute Drew is and how lucky I am to be his mom. Sometimes it is easy to forget when we're just doing our normal day in day out routine, but he is the sweetest, cutest little boy and I am so grateful to be his mom.
YW camp was awesome (at least for the part that I was there). The YW are so amazing. They have such strong testimonies and such positive attitudes. It was a pleasure to get to know them a little better and be uplifted by their examples. I am so proud of them and just want the very best for them. They all have very bright futures.
A few weeks ago, we went to a Pioneer family day at the This is the Place park in SLC. They had a petting zoo, bouncy houses, free popcicles, a magician and train rides.

Drew loved being the conductor! He would say, "choo-choo!" and "All aboard!"

We went to the July 4th parade in Provo with the Paiser crew. Drew loves his aunts and uncles and grandma and grandpa. Here he is with uncle Kyle.

Those fire engines are loud!!

What a fun bunch!

Drew is soooo quick to remember things. He picks up songs so quickly and here is the proof!!

Family Pictures/Drew's 2 Year Old Pictures

We had family pictures/Drew's 2 year old pictures taken last week. It was pretty fun. Drew was cracking us up with his serious looks. He would not smile for the life of him, but oh well, it shows his personality at this age.
